When a tree falls in our cemetery and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Trees make the Cortland Rural Cemetery beautiful, but when they fall -- endangering visitors, staff, roads, and monuments alike -- they can be a costly expense! This tree lost its main branch, indicating rot that would likely bring the whole tree down next. So we removed the threat the very same day. (Donations to help remove downed or rotting trees welcome!)
