An excellent example of a rural or "garden" cemetery in the heart of Cortland, NY ― the Cortland Rural Cemetery is an independent, non-profit, and non-denominational historic cemetery of 44+ acres. Established 1853, the CRC remains a operation

l cemetery overseen by a volunteer Board of Trustees and regulated by the NYS Division of Cemeteries.

HOURS

Office hours:
Our office is generally open Monday through Friday, 10-4 (Spring, Summer, Fall). If our office door is closed during these hours, staff may be performing grounds maintenance. In such cases, call and leave a message at our office or email us. 

Grounds: The cemetery is open from dawn until dusk Spring, Summer, and Fall ― with limited access (for your safety and ours) during Winter months.
